Dorothea Frease Green, 1907-2003
  
  Dorothea Green (universally known as Dorothy) was born to Charles Frease, a railroad conductor, and Frances Roe on January 1, 1907. Being a New Year's baby, she liked to regale her children and grandchildren with the idea that--like all New Year's children--she was a witch; and they loved to believe her.  She was married to Parnell Green, a cattleman.

  She had five children, one of whom died as a youngster; fourteen grandchildren; and innumerable great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her for her playfulness, impish behavior, witch-like tricks and accepting philosophy toward life.  One of her grandchildren, David Turin (aka Emit Bloch, his stage name), captured these in his song "Dorothy," performed by him in the track below.
